Company is the industry leader in customer data management, privacy and compliance software, focused on preference and consent management to enhance personalization and ensure compliance. They offer a family of products in this space and have been in business for twenty years. They are currently looking to expand their team. Company empowers the individual's voice so that trust is built and relationships are enriched. Company has an immediate opening for a Business Analyst to join their Product team with strong technical skills, particularly as it relates to developing software requirements. This role will also have a lot of Product Management opportunities. Meaningful experience at driving product messaging, positioning, developing user features and stories including all of the technical artifacts that drive the product roadmap will be critical for success. As a key part of the product team, this person will work across all departments including sales, marketing, services and customer support to assist with product planning, timelines, product presentations and training materials. World class documentation and technical writing skills will be key for building user guides, training materials, release notes, test cases, and presentations for both internal and external audiences. Position is remote for the unforeseeable future.
ResponsibilitiesDeveloping detailed user stories with detailed acceptance criteria, consistent with the product roadmap for company's product platforms will be job one. Candidate must be able to operate sufficiently at a level of technical depth that allows for specifications that are developer ready. As a SaaS platform, these user stories and requirements will be largely focused around new web services, data service offerings, client and consumer facing web applications. Working closely with product team members to build a roadmap that increases the gap between company and competing offerings, designing training materials that can be used internally and externally for new releases and customer education will be a primary responsibility. Prior experience working on SaaS product teams in the Campaign Management, Journey Orchestration, Customer Data Platforms and other marketing technology and fulfillment tools will be a big plus but not a requirement. Product Owner for one or more compliance platforms. Develop highly technical requirements in the form of complete user features and stories. Must be able to work from start to finish on large requirements (epic, features, stories). Function effectively as a product evangelist either as a trainer or in front of customers. Communicate the value and educate on the use of new product offerings to all parties involved with sales, implementation and support. Play key role in UAT testing and validation of new products ensuring adherence to promised, expected functionality Ongoing research and analysis of the marketplace with an emphasis on extending company's industry leading position. Role break down is 65% requirements definition, 30% technical writing and 5% documentation.
Required SkillsExceptional written and oral communications to include designing and creating visual presentations using tools like MS Word, Power.
Point, Visio, etc. 3 years of experience working with other software suites, preferably for a SaaS or PaaS company. Technical acumen and technical writing.
A genuine interest in growing in the Marketing Technology and Compliance space. The ability to bridge the technology gap between the Product team and the Marketing team in support of tactical Marketing Communications MarComm will be an ongoing critical skill needed for this role. Demonstrable experience working with customers in all areas ranging from pre-sales to ongoing support. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field. Nice to haves: Experience with iPaaS platforms, JSON, OAS/Swagger/Web Services. Cloud familiarity (Azure, AWS, Google) Database design experience Prior experience working with compliance solutions, marketing automation or CRM tools Experience planning and driving training curriculums Note: Position is remote for the unforeseeable future.
