Smiths top priority is the safety and well-being of our employees. As such, weve temporarily moved our operations to working remote. All incoming employees will also be remote to start. Position Overview: As a motion graphics/video production specialist, you will be part of the content team in our in-house marketing department. You will collaborate on a wide variety of video productions that serve Tech
Smith customers and our go-to-market strategy. From product overview videos, YouTube series, explainer videos, customer interviews, tutorials for social media, and more, we create awesome, world-class content that is seen by millions of people around the globe. In this role, youll have opportunities to advance your skills as a motion graphics specialist, shooter-editor, and video marketer. You have a passion for storytelling and marketing, and are skilled at motion graphics and video production. You can take an idea from ideation through live shooting, scripting, editing, and oversee the whole production. You're a team player with strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a flexible, professional demeanor. You're imaginative and aware of current trends in the advertising/video industry, with a working knowledge of the latest video post-production software. ResponsibilitiesCreate motion graphics and produce videos that adhere to the Tech
Smith brand style guide Create original, fully motion graphics-based videos that incorporate animation, product UI representations, workflow visualizations, step-by-step processes, and more Create original motion graphics assets, such as lower thirds, title cards, end cards, cinemagraphs, advertisements, customer education videos, new feature explainers, and more Produce a wide variety of projects, such as overview videos, YouTube series, screen recording videos (using Camtasia for capturing), advertisements, mini-tutorials, product walk-throughs, and more Produce, direct, and deliver marketing videos, from pre-production, production, and post-production Collaborate with Director of Marketing, Team Lead, content writers, product marketing managers, and other internal stakeholders in the development of video content Maintain and promote high standards for project and asset management Ability to work within production budget parameters Recommendations for equipment and software purchases as needed Champion consistency to the brand visual identity and usage Work with and manage outside agencies and studios as needed to facilitate the completion of creative team deliverables Stay up-to-date on new trends in the motion graphic and video production communities. Suggest and share new ways to implement these trends/technologies Stay on top of the new equipment and latest software Contribute to brainstorming sessions Develop and write outlines and scripts Effectively communicate ongoing project status with the creative team and marketing managers Manage multiple projects and work in a detail-oriented, deadline-driven environment Ability to travel as needed for production Perform other duties, as assigned
RequiredSkills and Background: Bachelor's Degree in a video or design related field (including but not limited to Communications, Fine Arts, Journalism, Marketing, Broadcasting, Animation, Film, etc), with at least one year of professional motion graphics experience. For individuals without a Bachelors Degree in a video or design related field, five years professional motion graphics experience. Minimum two years experience using Premiere Pro and After Effects professionally or equivalent
- Final Cut Pro X & Motion, etc Proficiency using Photoshop and/or Illustrator Comfortable working in a team environment, with the ability to give and take constructive criticism. You are someone who is cool with getting feedback and other peoples input on your work Desire to work within an in-house marketing department, and learn and contribute to all aspects of Tech
