Director of People & Culture, Commercial Solutions

Microsoft aspires to help our customers achieve their own digital and business transformation. The Microsoft Commercial Solution Areas team manages the commercial Solution Areas to set the sales strategy and partner across Microsoft to exceed customer needs - we make the impossible possible!
The Commercial Solution Areas team is looking for a Director of People & Culture to lead the global Solution Areas community and culture initiative. The right individual for this role embodies a One Microsoft culture, growth mindset and is passionate about employee experiences that foster a culture where everyone can bring their whole self to work. It requires passion for employee experience and engagement, expertise in developing community strategies & programs, sponsoring D&I initiatives, and a strong ability to partner with a diverse set of stakeholders. In this role you will be responsible for building out a People and Culture plan for the 1300+ Commercial Solution Areas team (including scaling existing and new programs.) As part of your purview, you will own Awards and Recognition programs and manage our global community across solution areas (Data & AI, Apps & Infra, Business Applications, Modern Work, Security, IoT & Mixed Reality, Support) and highly technical customer engineering teams to incubate new experiences that build an integrated community and strong culture that make Commercial Solution Areas a great place to work. * Experience building community programs or employee resources groups/advocacy especially in technical communities.* 10+ years of experience in program management, marketing communications, business strategy and operations, and/or HR/organizational development.
* Demonstrated passion, knowledge, and application for the development of D&I initiatives and principles.
* Experience influencing and driving change in a highgrowth and fast paced environment.
* Ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization, including exceptional written and verbal communications.
* The ability to partner and execute with others, collaborating, listening, responding in a timely manner.
* Demonstrated ability to take ambiguous information and requests and create clarity.
* Possesses a growth mindset and a customer obsessed mentality.
* Self-motivated and self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision, has high self-accountability.
* Preferred Bachelor's and/or Master's preferred.

* Build, manage and facilitate large scale programs (community, D&I initiatives, awards programs).
* Build principles/criteria for projects and serve as point of contact for employees wanting to raise new projects.
* Identify and connect existing culture v-teams across CE&S teams; provide coaching to teams looking to build v-teams.
* Work across multiple teams to help connect the moving parts in a very dynamic and fluid environment.
* Demonstrate discretion and professionalism when working with leadership team on sensitive business and organizational issues, manage ambiguity, and propose workable solutions to challenging problems.
* Partner with the communications team to create dedicated communications engine to share key findings, communication insights and drive Executive messages (including opportunities and wins)Create Accountability to Learn and Improve
* Build and implement an overall FY21 People and Culture plan aligned to broader Commercial Solution Areas organization initiatives.
* Establish and execute a crisp OKR approach to measure impact and effectiveness of both current and future initiatives.
* Listen and provide recommendations on employee sentiment and feedback.
* Plan culture updates for monthly Commercial Solution Areas LT meetings.
* Create monthly People & Culture newsletter or blogs highlighting initiatives and recognizing the people in the organization.
