Job Summary

The Data Engineer will serve an integral role in supporting the Clientrsquos evolution towards becoming the leading data-driven media organization. The Data Engineering role is to modelmap and execute all activities related to the integration of data across various sources into an organized and unified view. This individual is also responsible for the monitoring of data flow between databases, servers and Cloud services to identify and implement the most suitable DI architecture for the organizationrsquos needs. Proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of integration best practices are critical to successful performance in this role. This is a highly-technical position, within a high-paced environment.
A person with high attention to detail and a logical mindset with strong motivation and passion for technology would be a great candidate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Work with team lead, project managers and developers to ensure that data entry, retrieval, change and delete functions meet business requirements for project completion. Analyze, develop and implement data integrations with various systems that are utilized. Identify data entry, retrieval, change, and delete issues, and work to ensure a high level of data availability. Coordinate and work with other technical staff to develop relational databases and secondary databases. Develop automated database applications, where necessary, using the applicable database packages. Identify inefficiencies in current databases and leverage solutions. Analyze user requirements and, based on findings, design functional specifications for appropriate mediation routes

REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Experience in enterprise-level data integrations Experience working with cross-functional databases between disparate business systems Experience writing SQL queries, stored procedures and triggers Maintain high standards of data quality through the introduction and enforcement of information handling processes and organization of the data integration processes. Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modelingmapping and methodology development, and data mapping. Proficiency in one or more of the following Java, Ruby, Python, Apache Camel, Spring Boot Understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices Experience with data processing flowcharting techniques. Experience designing, documenting and implementing RESTful APIs Strong customer facingrelationship building skills Proficiency using Git

Education

Experience Bachelorrsquos Degree or higher preferred. 3+ years of relevant experience working in a data-integration role required.
