1 year contract LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY- remote at first but will then work in Oakland..possibly in summer Group handles all Engineering procurement Budget
- This person is the strategic partner (go between) from Engineering to the Tech Vendors. Need to understand what itrsquos like working with engineers, their personalities, how they thinkoperate this is very important, and they support a very large engineering team with a lot of personalities Candidate must have experience working with technology vendors or they will not be able to do the job. Exp working with Legal and any ERP systems Must be detail oriented Great communicator Thick skin Great follow through Can bring some real depth to the team with exp. Move at lightning speed----constant fires, must be able to pivot, prioritize and not forget what you were already working on Works out of a que Managing vendors for the entire Engineering Organization. Some examples are Cloud-native vendors across domains such as API Management, Security, Identity Authentication, Database Providers, SAASPAAS providers, service and staff augmentation providers. The Vendor Manager is responsible for managing vendor relationships including contracts, performance, relationship, risk and financials Support specific areas of the business and manage all their vendor accounts. Manage the entire lifecycle from sourcing, onboarding, execution to offboarding. Work with Compliance, Procurement, Legal and Security teamrsquos technical vendor evaluations, security assessments and so on. Ability to work with and empower others on a collaborative basis. Ability to establish workflows, manage multiple projects, and meet necessary deadlines. Must have experience working with solutions that provide on-prem and SaaS offerings. Monitor and ensure contract renewals are planned and executed well in advance of the expiry Responsible for performance management, including performance analysis and SLAKPI monitoring. Set up regular check-ins with vendor account managers, facilitate regular conversations between the business and vendor operations teams Plan and conduct regular business reviews and executive meetings at a cadence agreed with the business Monitor vendor performance, risk, financial data on an on-going basis and report to stakeholders as agreed.
