SQL Developer
Overview ProSphere is seeking an SQL Database Developer to support its federal government customer. The SQL DBA is responsible for successful setup, preparation and field implementation of all database systems provided and for ensuring database systems are optimized for maximum performance and up time. The candidate is responsible for setup and maintenance of all database systems maintained internally for support of their existing customers. This person works closely with software developers, project managers, and support specialists providing best service to their customers. Veterans are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Created and assisted in the development of SSRS reports, SSIS ETL packages, and code deployment packages for production and test environments Design of all internal customer and non-customer database systems Setup of database systems for new software installations Setup of archive and delete and other database jobs related to ongoing maintenance and optimization of all installed database systems Design of internal testing environments Responsible for database architecture and documentation Build database schemas, tables, fields, permissions, stored procedures and other elements in database systems Configuration of data sharing and disk partitioning Monitor systems and platforms for availability proactively correct customer problems Proficient in the use of .NET, and SQL Server (SQL Syntax and Stored Procedures)Proficient in building Windows Desktop database applications in .NET Proficient in HTML, CSS, Drupal and JavaScript Work with project management and support team on ensuring maximum performance and uptime of all systems Administer backup, clustering, mirroring, replication and failover as needed for internal or customer projects Create server and database sizing documentation needed for new projects or upgrade of existing systems Provide 247 internal and external support for critical issuesQualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education) At least eight (8) years of experience in the .NET and web languages ASP.Net, C.NET, HTML, XML Excellent HTML and CSS development skills Must have strong JavaScript and jQuery experience Understanding of HTTP, JSON, HTML5browser APIrsquos Experience in Responsive Web Design Experience working with GIT and sourceversion control Experience working in an Agile environment Confidence learning new software languages and platforms ServiceNow and JIRA experience Ability to work overtime required on occasion Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time Remote and on-call responsibilities may be required ProSphere offers full-time employees a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, health insurance, life insurance, military leave, training, tuition reimbursement, a wellness program, short- and long-term disability, 401(k) retirement plan with company matchesimmediate vesting, commuter benefits, and more.
