Summary of Role: Lead andfacilitate the identification and implementation of projects and activitiesaimed at increasing the pipeline of ethnic minorities enrolling and graduatingfrom accounting programs, earning the CPA credential, and ensure theirsuccessful transition into the profession. Implement and coordinate effortsaround supporting ethnic minority serving educators/institutions who build thediverse pipeline. Provide D&I inclusion related education to student andprofessional members, when needed. Accountabilities &
Awareness Identify target populations; visits target schools and meet with prospective students, counselors and administrators and participate in accounting or student career events to promote the accounting profession.
Lead the development of awareness strategies for a variety of audiences.
Lead the planning and execution of student awareness initiatives to attract students into the accounting profession. Plan, prepare and launch digital and non-digital awareness campaigns to attract students into the accounting profession. Represent the Association by giving presentations about the profession at events, such as student conferences, affinity professional conventions, college visitations and community meetings. Program
Development and Implementation Lead the planning and execution of recruitment and retention events and programs for prospective students, including planning the agenda and coordinating speakers and other logistics.
Supervise the development and implementation of programs and department projects. Lead and collaborate with the AICPA Foundation related to diversity and inclusion programs. Monitor student retention rate and track progress of student status in school based and career exploration programs. Identify and implement creative methods to secure mentoring and coaching for students as they are making the decision to study accounting.
Maintain strategic relationships with internal AICPA teams and external partner organizations to promote collaboration and information exchange about the accounting profession. Coordinate D&I efforts with academic pipeline team that support all student members and/or universities. Research, Analysis and Reporting Lead and review research pertaining to diversity, inclusion, belonging, equity, and equality; how it impacts pipeline development; and organizational culture. Maintain records and metrics for school based and career exploration programs including participation rates, and costs; document the effect the school based programs and career exploration programs are having on student decisions.
Track students to ensure they stay "on track" to obtain their degree and CPA. Attend national conferences to report on the progress of the AICPA's diversity initiatives. Analyze and report on the overall effectiveness of recruitment and retention programs. Supervisory

EducationMinimum of 7 years' professional work experience, including three yearsdiversity and inclusion work experience and pipeline relevant employment suchas a K-12 educator/administrator, university/college educator/administrator, ortalent acquisition. Bachelor's degree
