Sr. Data QA Engineer

Our client in Century City, CA is actively seeking a Sr. Data QA Engineer to lead and define data quality data validation automation framework.
Responsibilities will include and not be limited to Plan, develop, and execute test and validation strategies Create best processes and methodologies using appropriate tools with flexibility for future enhancements Lead and define the creation, automation, maintenance, and scalability of the Data Quality.
Data Validation automation framework Work alongside the Data Engineers and Data Strategy analysts to design and develop comprehensive test scripts using SQLPython to validate the data flowing in and out of the centralized data warehouse Create and maintain complex SQL and Python queries such as type 2 triggers, various joins, aggregations, groupings, and more Work with enterprise-grade modern data pipelines, establish KPIs around data quality, and encourage the organization to adopt next-generation data quality processes Collaborate with other teams to understand their requirements and support their Data QAValidation needs Support the Data Science team to implement, preferably in an automated fashion, the necessary data validations needed for challenging machine learning problems Participate collaboratively in Enterprise Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, and other Data Management projects Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Expert SQL, T-SQL, PL-SQL knowledge 3+ years of hands-on experience writing Python scripts 3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-based Data Warehouses (Redshift, Snowflake, Teradata, etc.) 2+ years of hands-on experience with Data Streaming technology (Kinesis, Kafka, Spark Streaming) 3+ years of hands-on experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Grafana, Splunk) Hands-on experience testing Data transformationmanipulation Experience with both traditional batch and big data streaming data delivery Experience creating Test Planscompletion documentation Experience with continuous integration technologies CICD (Jenkins, GitLab) Expert in writing and executing test cases, managing and analyzing very large sets of data, creating automation scripts and communicating relevant insights to the team Expert in testing Source-to
- Target mappings (STMs) Expertise in testing and validation of Data Lakes and EDWs ndash at any stage of the ETLELT process Working knowledge of data qualitycompleteness validation A firm grasp on testing techniques (ie black box testing, white box testing) Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively interact with a diverse team of people across business and engineering Love to collaborate with other data professionals, engineers, and business operation experts to understand and address reporting needs For more information and immediate consideration, please send your resume as a Word document today!
