Media Manager / Assistant Editor - Greater Seattle Area

We are a successful, rangy, video production company serving leading technology brands with global live productions and marketing videos.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking an experienced Content Media Manager / Assistant Editor to work on a variety of branded and other corporate projects. This person will help in the management, organization, transfer and editorial setup of all media assets and projects for content programming and event broadcasts on a global scale, across online, OT
T and broadcast platforms. Projects and assets include short and long-form content, dozens of deliverables, regional and localized assets, accessibility content and more. This role will be on one of our remote Satellite teams working for projects managed by Microsoft's Xbox Experiential Programming Team.
JOB TITLE: Media Manager / Assistant EditorREPORTS TO: Operations ManagerFLSA STATUS: Full-Time, Exempt, SalaryRESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):Owner of all multimedia assets across the Programming Team;Work with Distribution, Social Media, Marketing, PR and others to help track, receive and deliver assets including captions & subtitles, audio descriptions, localization, destination platform, and VOD delivery;Management of Media.
Shuttle, SNS EVO media server, LT
O tape based archival system, assisting with Frame.io software organization and review management, along with new and evolving systems;Communicate with production teams, other internal departments, and third-party platforms to train others on our processes and best practices;QC'ing of final deliverable assets, both outbound and once staged (if applicable) on VOD sites;Archiving and organizing of all multimedia assets;Ingesting, transcoding, file transfer, etc.;Building editorial template(s) for post-production teams to utilize; and.
Building spec decks to ensure external project assets are delivered correctly.
BASIC

QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of 2 years working in video, film and TV content post-production as a media manager, assistant editor, or editor;Expert knowledge of digital media file formats, codecs, resolutions, frame rates, bitrates and transcoding processes;Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Media Encoder, etc.);Understanding of content review processes and security & privacy protocols for confidential asset management;Exceptionally strong organizational skills to track multiple assets with different specs and delivery needs;Team player who can work remotely with a great team and dozens of partners around the world;Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office software including Power.
Point and Excel;Strong project management, communication skills, attention to detail, professionalism;Ability to work and execute with minimal supervision;Ability to multi-task and play well with others;Willingness to work different schedules including weekends, nights, long shifts (10+ hours), and/or travel as needed on productions;Role will be a combination of in office, remote and on-site work; and.
Must be local to greater Seattle area or willing to relocate to Seattle.
PREFERRED

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in tech support for PC and Mac systems and software.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Work Environment

Currently, this person will be working from home and onsite for specific production needs. If allowed by current government orders, an essential job function of this role is to be physically on location, as determined by the production. All productions will be run in accordance with governmental orders and COVID-19 safety protocols. This role routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and printers. Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Must be able to operate various electronic devices including recording, video and photography equipment. Must be able to work at a computer or audio equipment for long periods of time. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. The days and hours of this position may vary week-to-week.
A willingness to work different schedules including weekends, nights, holidays, long shifts (10+ hours), and/or travel up to 25%, as needed is required for individual productions.
