Legal Intern (Fall Semester 2021)

Overview.
Project Scope for 2021 Intern who will be remote: Power.
School's Legal Intern is an important member of the Power.
School Legal Department. The successful candidate will remotely join the Power.
School legal department and support team on projects ranging from contract administration support, post-merger/acquisition integration; policy and procedure drafting; legal research; participating in commercial negotiations; involved in legal training events; substantive legal assignments in areas such as privacy, security, intellectual property, government procurement, anti-trust and mergers and acquisitions.
A key responsibility for the successful candidate will be support the Power.
School legal department and a law firm on a present matter. In this way the Power.
School Legal Intern will have exposure to both a law firm environment and working with an in-house legal department. The Power.
School Legal Intern will interact with the company's General Counsel via weekly 1:1s and will have the opportunity to meet and work cross-functionally with other operational divisions within the company to ensure the Legal Intel gains valuable business acumen in working in the high tech cloud-base company. Responsibilities.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Support the factual discovery (depositions, record summaries, legal research) regarding the allegations of intellectual property infringement. Provide an end of internship report to the Power.
School Legal Department. Attend and actively participate in weekly legal department meetings. Depending on schedule and availability assume responsibility for the completion of at least two (2) key projects in additional to the litigation matter. Qualifications.
Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree completed with at least one year of law school completed at a top 50 US law school. A basis understanding of SaaS (software-as-a-service) and cloud software provider. Understanding of education technology, preferred. Confidentiality in handling sensitive information a must!
Ability to learn quickly.
Strong attention to detail required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to draw conclusions and provide findings in concise written format required.
Experience with MS OfficeAbility to work remotelyEEO Commitment.
