Job Description

The Bright.
Drop Financial Analyst will play a key role supporting the initial design, testing, implementation, and performance/execution of the close, consolidation, and financial reporting processes for Bright.
Drop's connected, electrified, and integrated ecosystem of products and services. Given the start-up nature of this business, this role requires being comfortable with ambiguity, a high-level of initiative, and strong attention to detail. Responsibilities.
Support the design, testing and implementation of Bright.
Drop accounting close, consolidation (including inter-company eliminations), and reporting processes and controls, including documenting end-to-end process flows and desk procedures, assisting with the identification of potential risks to financial reporting and establishing mitigating controls, and executing/maintaining established processes in accordance with GM policies.
Build relationships with business partners to quickly understand business processes and requirements.
Research/interpret U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and SEC rules as they relate to the Bright.
Drop ecosystem, and support operationalization of accounting for arm's length agreements between Bright.
Drop and GM affiliates, as well as external transactions.
Support the implementation of systems and related controls for Bright.
Drop's ecosystem of products and services.
Coordinate cross functionally to complete monthly/quarterly financial close, resolve issues and perform other analyses/special projects.
Support preparation of monthly/quarterly financial statement reviews of actual performance, including extensive balance sheet reviews.
Support internal and external (SEC) reporting, as needed.
Support the initial preparation of standalone Bright.
Drop financial statements, as needed.
Work with external auditors Ernst & Young (EY) and GM Financial Assurance Team for GM's consolidated financial results, as well as standalone Bright.
Drop financial statements.
Coordinate and share knowledge with other accounting teams supporting potential strategic growth initiatives to break down roadblocks in a timely manner.
Willingness to step outside the traditional Controllership role when required.
Proactively find opportunity for improvements.
Demonstrate GM's desired behaviors including safety and GM's culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Qualifications

- Required.
Bachelor's degree with major in Accounting, Finance or related field4 years (or greater) of relevant work experience in Accounting/Finance.
Familiarity with accounting processes including consolidation, financial reporting and controls, etc.

Qualifications

- PreferredCPA (Certified Public Accountant), Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalentBig 4 accounting experience.
Consolidation experience.
Experience/knowledge of Hyperion Financial Systems.
Experience with SAP or other ERP implementation.
Experience with Sarbanes
- Oxley compliance.
