Epic Technical Consultant - Telecommute

They have a unique opportunity to engage directly with our clients and participate in creating solutions. This role will function as one of the firm's Epic Technical Subject Matter experts. We are seeking exceptional candidates who have deep Epic technical expertise and practical experience who want to be part of an innovative and forward thinking team. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities

Work in Epic Ambulatory applications Build Epic related functionality such as BPAs, Order Sets, Smart.
Sets, Smart.
Forms, Extensions, Rules, etc. Participate in detailed integrated testing of various Epic functionality Perform in-depth workflow analysis, data collection, report details and other technical issues associated with Epic software Responsible for proactively identifying, researching, testing and implementing enhancement and optimization to technology, workflows, capabilities and processes Serve as a technical liaison with client teams, clinical teams, and vendor teams Participate in creation and delivery of end-user training materials Participate in detail oriented document creation and/or optimization related to workflows, testing, build, etc. Join project team meetings Travel as needed Perform other duties as assigned You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Required Qualifications

Epic certification in EpicCare Ambulatory 5+ years technical experience with Epic including working with Ambulatory5+ years of experience working within product life-cycle from conception through development into production2+ years of experience with consulting.
Ability to travel.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree Additional Epic certifications Ability to be detail oriented, self-motivated, organized, proactive, and resourceful in all job duties Ability to effectively communicate with both coworkers and clients with focus on accuracy and details Strong presentation and negotiation skills with the ability to demonstrate these skills in both face-to-face and electronic (telephone, email systems, etc.) Careers with Optum.
