Data Analyst

Duration 6 months to start Location San Francisco (remote until the virus restriction has been lifted) Seeking a Data Analyst for

Responsibilities

- Measurement, tracking, escalation and impact analysis of data quality issues
- Engage with stakeholders to analyze and isolate root cause of data issues and drive data cleansing efforts
- Partner with business unit and technology teams to remediate issues
- Query and analyze data from various data sources to investigate data issues
- Develop and maintain data taxonomy and classify KDEs
- Document data lineage and related controls procedures
- Capture business and technical metadata and data lineage
- Engage with business and technology partners to document business and functional requirements
- Leverage information gathered during data quality resolution and data mapping exercises to build test exercises
- Adopt an enterprise data mindset to ensure that data can be leveraged by data migration and reporting teams
- Adhere to the Bankrsquos data governance and data quality programs (policy, standards and controls)
- Promote the adoption of on-going Data Governance and Data Quality routines with key business partners

Qualifications

Exp
- 5-7 years+ of financial services andor banking industry exp., preferably Data Governance.
Data Quality Management
- Proficient processing complex business concepts, researching data issues and managing through remediation
- Must have at least 3 yrs. of SQL (complex queries, joins, etc.)
- Analyzing data and complex data relationships
- Data governance data management concepts and technologies
- Analytical skills to collect and profile data and compute key metrics (e.g., KPIs, KRIs)
- Exp. with BI reporting, including data visualization tools
- Process design exp. with process optimization mindset
- Consulting background or exp. in consultative role working closely with business stakeholders
- Excellent presentation and documentation skills
- Previous exp. with CORE migration or CORE banking systems very desirable
- Exp. with data management technologies and tools (e.g., MDM, ETL, Collibra) very desirable
