Compliance Manager

Policy
Works is a global resource for governance, risk and compliance (GRC) solutions in financial services and other regulated industries. We make GRC management easier with our award-winning SaaS-based technology platform, ViClarity, and access to a team of knowledgeable audit and compliance experts and services. The Compliance Manager is responsible for delivering high-touch, exceptional services to our clients. They will also lead and support a team of compliance professionals. Strong candidates will have a strong background in compliance-related experience in a credit union, banking or similar industry, along with strong management and leadership experience. Position will be located in California, preferably the Southern California area.

Responsibilities

Manage, lead and develop remote staff, providing guidance and support to ensure quality service Provide accurate, succinct, and timely responses to credit union questions regarding regulatory compliance via a hotline service Maintain a thorough understanding of federal and California laws and regulations impacting credit unions. Deliver exceptional service and high-quality compliance solutions to questions and communications. Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors and partners Analyze new regulations and draft informative communications. Conduct compliance training sessions. Ability to travel approximately 15 percent of the year.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required. 5 of regulatory compliance experience in the financial services industries. 3 years of management and leadership experience. Excellent research and analytical skills and ability to analyze complex regulatory issues. Knowledge of California and federal credit union laws and regulations. Strong writing skills and experience with a financial institution’s policies and operations. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interface at all levels of an organization. Knowledge of financial institution regulations. Collaborative, consultative and a self starter. Credit and criminal history verification will be required of all applicants.
